inox plus6.0: Pool attractions resistant to salt water

The use of stainless steel components in swimming pools with salt water is a highly complex subject. Especially in cases where the salt concentration specified in the manufacturer’s instructions is exceeded, electrochemical corrosion of the stainless steel begins with visible undesired consequences. Stainless steel elements such as holding grips, faceplates or flanges develop rust marks, and other components also develop a brownish colouring.

Until now, we have recommended our customers with high salt concentrations to use high-quality stainless steel DIN 1.4539, AISI 904L or, as a budget-oriented approach, high-performance PVC or ABS plastics.

To increase the design freedom and application perspectives of architects, designers, dealers and pool builders, an optimised stainless steel surface was specially developed for saline pools. This innovation project was sponsored by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). inoxplus6.0 is our answer to the complex challenge of salt water. This new high-tech stainless steel can be used for salt concentrations of up to 6% (please note that the average salt concentration in seawater is 3.5%).

We have chosen a small but excellent selection of counter-current units, hydro massage nozzles and luchs® underwater spotlights from our product portfolio available to you. Regarding pump components, we recommend our WK or SMK series attraction pumps with a housing and impeller made of high-quality corrosion-resistant plastic. With our inoxplus6.0 quality swimming pool attractions, we provide you with products which, in terms of their design, attractive appearance and quality, add to the sophisticated ambience of any pool. We will be presenting this product innovation to the public for the first time at the Piscine Global trade show in November 2016 in Lyon. Please don’t hesitate to talk to us – we’re very eager to have your opinion.
